It’s been an incredible ride but now it’s time for us to pause, recharge and enjoy a little adventure of our own.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every guest who has shared this journey with us…your support and friendship have made these 10 years truly special.

First visit to Riders Rest and I cannot recommend this place... enough.Our group of five arrived a bit later than planned after a long ride from Calais, no issue for our hosts who welcomed us with a smile, a hug, an ice cold beer and dinner on the table.Breakfast and the evening meal kept us well fuelled for the week and the well stocked beer kept us lubricated for the week too.Rob & Mandy were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble and their local knowledge is second to none.Stuck for a route? Speak to Rob & Mandy and they can recommend some routes which will blow you away, and they will advise the best routes for your ability, machine and the time available.The accommodation was perfect, the food was perfect, the location was perfect, bikes kept under lock and key at night was VERY reassuring.I can honestly say that my stay at Riders Rest was possibly my best motorbiking holiday and I will be looking to return next year.Thank you so much for making our stay a memorable one.Kind Regards, Brian (aka the one with the limp)read more

OUTSTANDING!!Five stars: OUTSTANDING! Best for riders (and... pillions!)It was my husband’s 3rd time at the Riders’ Rest and my first time, riding pillion. I had been told about how good the Riders’ Rest was and I was not disappointed. It lived up to my expectations and beyond.As soon as we arrived, Rob and Mandy greeted us with a warm welcome and a cold drink winding down before getting us settled. All was ready for us. Accommodation was great, lovely very comfortable room, spotless, full of little touches to make you feel well cared for. The pool was wonderful in hot weather and the garden great to rest and take a breather in. You are made to feel at home.And the food…! Plentiful, excellent, succulent, restaurant standard dishes and presented beautifully. Rob and Mandy accommodate your preferences and nothing is too much trouble. Lively conversation at dinner and breakfast with everybody joining in with caring and entertaining hosts who make sure nobody feels left out. Rob provides as much or as little advice as you wish regarding routes and things to see and do.Large garage to accommodate the bike. I arrived as guest and departed as friends. We are already preparing for our return next year. If you get a chance to stay there don’t miss it. You are sure to love it as much as we do.read more

Fantastic place to stay in the countryside for bikers. ... Delicious home cooking. Fabulous service and hosting. Great clean accommodation and v clean. Garage for bikes. Fantastic time. Next year will return and stay longer and go out with Rob. Amazing pool as well and fabulous views. Highlight of our bike trip. Rob and Mandy rock!!read more

Had an amazing time with hosts Rob and Mandy. Were made to feel... instantly at home when greater with the offer of a cold beer of cup of tea on arrival after a very long day down from Caen (doable in a day on motorways). Robs local knowledge is invaluable to first time visitors like us and you can tell he wants you to have a great time with the enthusiasm with which he talks about the local area. Very very helpful loading files on sat nav as well. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and the shower is hot. The food Prepared daily by Mandy is just what the doctor ordered after a full day out on the hills. Hearty home cooked meals all very well done and very tasty. I have a food intolerance and pre warned them and they could have not done more for me even down to changing the menus to accommodate me. Tea and coffee was a plenty and the beer fridge always stocked. I would and have recommended this to other bikers without hesitation.read more
